Updating to Labview 2010 SP1 unsuccessful because windows service: lkCitadelSerer cannot be started ( Error1920 )

I'm trying to update to Labview 2010 SP1 (32bit) but without success. The update could not be completed because the Windows service: LkCitadelServer could not be started.

Error1920. Service 'Lookout Citadel Server'  (LkCitadelServer) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services
[Try again] [Cancel]

I've tried to restart the system, disable firewall and antivirus(obviously I also removed the LAN cable then) but that didn't help. If I look in the task manager, the status of LkCitadelServer is that it's beeing stoped. This status won't change even if I restart my computer. I'm not completely sure but I think the Labview update failed the first time because LkCitadelServer could'n be stoped, at 53%. Now the updating fails after 2%.

I'm running Win7 64bit and have Labview 2010 32bit installed. Labview was working fine before update.

Any ideas what to do? Do I have to remove labview and reinstal it? Or perhaps roll back windows7 to an earlier system restore point? Thanks in advance for any help.

I rolled back win7 to an earlier restore point. That didn't remove the labview update. However it seems that Labview is working allthough the update was not fully completed. No errors so far, but it would have been nice if Labview was correctly updated.

First unexpected error during normal use of Labview. I was editing a block diagram when the following error occured:

"Compiler error. Report this problem to National Instruments Tech Support.

EventData copy, err=1"

Now I can't run code that was fully functional before updating to Labview 2010 SP1. The same compiler error occur as above when I try to run a vi. The error list under the broken run arrow is:

*VI Errors

        VI failed to compile.

Some other VI:s that I haven't been editing after update are still executable. Seems that I have to reinstall Labview or something.

Solved! I managed to reinstall the Labview SP1 update. This wasn't possible until I rolled back win7 to an earlier restore point, because of LkCitadelServer was jammed in "being stopped" mode. I also disabled my firewall and virus scanner this time.

To get the uncompilable Vi working again I had to copy the source code to a new blank Vi.
