Using LabView for ESL(Electronic System Level) design

Hi,

With respect to ESL design, is LV capable of the following:

modeling concurrency

non-functional modeling and estimation(power, area)

performance estimation (throughput, latency)

code conversion to C and Verilog

How do you compare it with SystemC for ESL design?

You should always spell out acronyms to avoid confusion. ESL has many meanings! 😮

I'm guessing you are experienced in ESL and SystemC, but not in LabVIEW.  Most of us are experienced in LabVIEW and have possibly never heard of SystemC or ESL.  In particular, I certainly don't know what the objective is for ESL, whether it is a modelling system, a simulation system, a way to develop code that runs on real hardware, or what.

If I'm right and you are an ESL expert, my guess is that you can fairly quickly get a feel for the "idea" and abilities of LabVIEW and will be in a much better position, certainly, than I to answer your question.  In particular, the videos under LabVIEW for Students on the upper right of the first page of the LabVIEW Forums are a quick and easy way to get some of the "flavor" of LabVIEW (you can probably skip some of the videos, but spend some time with the later ones).
