Using Orangutan SVP to get different data types using USB

I am using an Orangutan SVP board and need to read information (namely, speed of a motor, temperature from a temperature sensor, pressure from a pressure sensor, all connected to the Orangutan) to a labView GUI I've set up. I also need to communicate to the board if a button on the GUI is pressed.

I've downloaded VISA and instrument drivers, but need help reading all the different types from the USB, not just one piece of it.

I also will need to connect a PointGrey video camera to this GUI to display continuous video, if you would also like to give me pointers on that.

I am brand new to labView and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Showie6,

Where did you find the LabVIEW drivers for the Orangutan SVP board? I'm having trouble finding any NI supported drivers for your device?

I've just realized I downloaded the wrong drivers. Is there a way to use the labView software with this board since, like you, I'm not seeing any for the Orangutan?

I have not found any NI or 3rd party drivers for that hardware. You would have to contact the manufacturer to see if they have anything. A proper driver is neccessary to interface with LabVIEW.

Ok, I have looked into serial commications with my board, and LabVIEW is recognizing the comms for that. Am I able to use the serial communications to get different pieces of information, like I was trying to do via USB?

Because we do not support that product I am not familar with what data can be accessed with it's interfaces.
