VISA name created again

Hi ,

Please find the attached snap shot , in this VISA name/resource name is creted again every time when I execute. why this is happenning , how to avoide this.

I can't see all of your code in the snapshot given, but if you do not close the reference, this will result in what you are getting.

Agreed.  Not closing the reference is the only time I have seen this.  Each of those resource names are clones to the same hardware, just different references to it.

......unless, of course, the vi aborts abnormally before it gets to the 'close reference', then the reference will be left hanging.

But again, without seeing the full code it is difficult to be sure what is happening.
