Virtual Labview instrument in Multisim - DLL?

I am using LabView 8.5 and I followed all the steps given in "How to Create a LabVIEW Based Virtual Instrument for NI Multisim" tutorial. After creating the instrument and copying it into the specified folder, I am supposed to find the new instrument in Multisim (Simulate > Instruments > Labview). However, it is not listed there. When I go to the folder \lvinstruments, I see that all the other instruments that are present (also seen in the LabView instruments list in Multisim) have a separate DLL file. In the tutorial there is nothing about creating a dll file. If it is required, how do I create one?
