Vision inspection

Hi, I am new to Machine vision. In VBAI, how can i inspect an object that is perfect or damaged. For instance i have attached two images in which one is a normal wall and another one is a cracked wall. What are the steps involved in finding those objects that are cracked. Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
Dhans 😉

I was trying to figure out where the cracks are..! 😄

You can go through the tutorials available in NI related to VBAI.

http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373379h.pdf

Also there are examples available in your VBAI start screen (Go through them)

Hint for your Processing: YOu can use thresholding and then particle analysis for the cracks (If i am not wrong with the cracks available in the images that you provided)

Do you consider yourself a "pretty good LabVIEW Programmer"?  Could you pass a CLAD (the lowest Certification level) exam with confidence?  Unless you can answer "Yes, and I can even pass the CLD exam!", you may be in for some "interesting challenges", as NI Vision is, shall we say, a "more-advanced" topic.

Regarding those "two" images -- looking at the three Images you attached (two of which might be the same), I'm not sure I could identify the "normal" and "cracked" wall.  Of course, I'm probably not as smart as good LabVIEW code ...
