Does anyone know where I can find a Wayne Kerr 7720 Impulse Tester LabVIEW driver. The tester has a RS232 interface. Also helpful would be a good source for learning how to write such a serial driver in the event that I can't find one.
Thank you.

Hi Chuck72352
Here is a link with the drivers that I found for Wayne Kerr devices. Hopefully one of those drivers might work for that device.

If there is one that you think will help you, attach it to a post in the Version Conversion board that you can also see linked at the top of the page.

The files do not have valid extensions.

I don't know what you mean. The one I tried is a self-extracting zip with a couple of llb files and those are certainly valid extensions.

I had no luck finding the LLB so I decided to hire a contractor to write the driver.
Thank you for your help.

Chuck,
It's been a while since I played with one of these, but the communications is pretty simple. If you sent it a "t" it executes a test, if you send it a "T" it executes a test and returns data. When it returns data it is a binary file of the waveform with a text header. We have used both 6815's and 7720's here, and if I remember right, the difference is the size of the binary file...it's much larger (more points) in the 7720.
I've attached the sub vi we used for the 6815.
Let me know if you don't get anywhere with it, I can probably drag one out and play with it.
