Where did the attachment point go?

Moving the Label position to my prefered allignment  for controls hides the label attachment point

Funny thing is the line extends to under the label bounds by 8 pixels? Trivial "Feature" but I can't say I'm a huge fan.

I'm curious... is that the boundary of an icon?  Or maybe the center point of the label?  It's like it's hiding under something...
