Why does the web server unexpectedly regain control

When I have the web server serving 5 remote browsers and one browser has control granted, after some period of time without any activity at the controlling browser, the web server unexpectedly regains control. At that time, the web browsers' pages stop updating and usually the vi that is serving the page also halts. The other vis are still running. The remote browsers cannot reconnect; a reset of the PC is required in order to re-establish connections. And, no, I cannot upgrade to a newer version of LabVIEW because the browsers reside on Sun workstations.

Hello mstrain,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  In order to further troubleshoot your issue I am wondering if you can give me some more details.  Do you get any errors throughout this process?  Or do the remote panels just stop updating?  If you are getting an error can you give me the error description and error number (a screenshot may also be useful).  What version of LabVIEW are you using?  Does this only occur when running 5 remote panels or does it also occur when running just 1?  Any other details that you can provide would only help to troubleshoot the issue.  Once I have this information I can research this and update you with possible reasons as to why this may be happening.

Thanks!
