Why does write datalog sometimes take up to 20 seconds to complete?

Not the HD. It's brand new and the problem can occurr within seconds of a good write (push a button write the file, 5 seconds later push another button replace the file, change a number 20 seconds later replace the file and maybe it hangs, switch a button an hour later replace the file no problem).

Again, the code has been in use for a few years and has never exhibited this behaviour until I switched to LV 2013.

Do you know if it displayed the issue after the upgrade but before adding the new code?

I have an earlier compiled version from LV 2011 that I had made the code changes to and it doesn't exhibit the problem.
