Word report

Hello,

Do you know if there is a way to create a report in MS Word that looks the same as Labview? That is, the image I have in LabView are lines that show text with lines where the user enters text. I want to create a report where the same info will be displayed on word (including the lines).

This is the vi:

And the word report should look the same:

I'm sure that it might be do-able (parse that, I dare you!), but it will be a lot of work designing the Form in Word, and getting the Report Generation Toolkit to handle the VBA you'd need to do that (it might be easier to build a Word "Template" and attempt to "fill in the blanks").

A simpler way to do this would be to generate an Excel report, as Excel has the concept of organized "cells" in "rows and columns" where you can "build the Form as you write it", and when you are done, you can (if you really want to) open Word and have it "import" the nicely-formatted Excel Worksheet.

For an example of how to make a formatted Excel Report using the RGT, use the Search Bar in the Forum and search for:  Revised "Generate Excel Report" Example.
