sorry guys, I was answering dmcraul's question and billko, pointing out where it went wrong (overwriting same file) from the OP's original post.
I agree with altenbach. the write delimited file function is more or less a subvi (or a stripped down csv express) that contains the bare essential low level functions to open, write and close a file for convenience, not really for performance.
