Yokogawa DLM4038

Hello,

Well, I cannot get LabVIEW (10) to see my Yokogawa DLM4038 scope.  Perhaps this question sould be in another location, but I didn't see a section for Measurement Studio as it relates to my issue.

I cannot get Measurement Studio (4.7) to recognise the Yokogawa scope.  I've tried different drivers and I'm really at a loss how to get this to work.  If Measurement Studio can't "see" the scope then LabVIEW can't see it either.

Please, can someone give me some direction?

Thank you,

Randy Smith

Why would Measurement Studio or LabVIEW be able to "see" your scope when you don't install the needed software?

NI-488.2 and NI-VISA

You need to provide information on the actual physical connection - GPIB, USB, Ethernet, serial. If GPIB, the actual make and model of your controller. Also verify that the instrument is configured for the actual interface that you are using. The instrument had to appear in MAX before either LabVIEW or Measurement Studio will recognize it. Instrument drivers are irrelevant.

Measurement Studio does have boards for developers working with c++, .NET, and VB6.

edit: ok, i see you tried drivers, do what suggested above (check your interface).

We don't know what "drivers", he actually installed.

I'd hoped the driver would self install.

Called Yokogawa, and they were very helpful.

The DLM 4038 was listed in windiows device manager.  It was not showing up in Measurement Automation.

The gentleman at Yokogawa suggest I install the IVI driver for the scope.  It worked.

I'm using USB from my PC to the scope.
