What text do you mean?  Text on control and indicator labels when you print a block diagram?  Text in a report you print with the report generation toolkit?  Text in a string?  Do you have an example you can post that will demonstrate your problem?

Also,

I am trying to print out a Horizontal Black line with the date centered in it but I see there is no VI for printing A solid horizontal line and than appending text to it.

When you say print do you mean print to screen or print to paper via a printer?  Just want to make sure we are on the same page.

I posted the last message before I saw your most recent...

Confesion: I did not follow your query.

Guess:

Put a black line decoration on the page where the text will be.

Over top of tht place a text indicator (claissic style) with transparent edges and background.

Set the font to be center justified.

otherwise....

Get Text Rectangle.vi (from pictures palette) will tell you how big your text will and then you cna do the math to center it.

Here is an example, probably not exactly what you want but enough to get you started, it uses a classic flat button colored black and the boolean text (always centered 😉 )  colored white.  It prints on execution.  Play around with it and it should give you something near what you are looking for.  The VI is in LV8.0.

Could you post an image of what you want the printout to look like?  It looks like there is more there than just a black rectangle with the date in it.
