changing serial baud rate

hello,

this might not be a simple as it sounds since rate of communication changes and this might produce errors?

is there a standard way of connecting to another device with a serial connection or changing baud rate.

ill attach some code.

i can communicate with the device at 9600 which is the power on reset value

if i change it to 115200, sometimes it works, sometimes it dosent.

it seems somewhat random.

i believe i had problems with a crio at one point doing similar baud rate changes.

right now, im trying to connect to a servo drive.

thanks

Hi,

Those VIs you are trying to access are part of the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module. You can purchase the module at that link or download an evaluation version. However you should be able to achieve what you are trying to do just by using the VIs on the serial palette or the VISA palette. Have you seen the VISA Serial Break VI on the serial palette?
