compatibility between lbw11 and lbw13

 Hi guys,

I know for sure that If you have a vi done in Lbw11 it is possible to be opened in Lbw13 but the question is if I create a new vi in Lb13 using the new features those new features will be seen without any problems in Lbw 11??

Thank you

LV is the typical abbreviation for LabVIEW.

If you use a new feature, it will be translated when you perform a downconvert.  LabVIEW 2011 does not know any of the features of 2013.  So it will be different.

Some down convert will attempt to actually replace a certain new feature with similar functioning code in the older version, if that is not to complicated to do, but in general anything really new in a LabVIEW version will simply be replaced by a graphic box with a small label on it and therefore usually result in broken code.
