copy-paste into LV.

I am using LabVIEW 2023 Q3 along with Excel 2021 and have encountered an issue when copying data from Excel into a LabVIEW string constant. When I copy and paste data directly from Excel into LabVIEW, unexpected and extraneous characters appear along with the data. However, this problem does not occur when copying smaller amounts of data.

Interestingly, if I first copy the data from Excel to a text editor like Notepad and then copy it from Notepad to LabVIEW, the issue does not occur.

This is something I have not experienced before, so I wanted to ask the forum for any insights or solutions.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it?

Well, I didn't look at your VI, but I did open the Excel file and copy about 2000 rows and paste them in a string constant, and other than the constant growing to about 16k pixels and slowing LV down, I didn't see any issues with the data. That said, I did this in 2015, which is what I currently have open, and it's possible this only happens in later versions. I also don't know what to look for.

There is an announcement for a new patch for 2024 Q3 which talks about pasting issues from Word into a numeric control. Maybe it's the same issue, but it doesn't have any details. It doesn't sound the same.
