Is there a way to get the custom scales that appear in my Project Explorer into MAX?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi SCD,

The functionality of adding an existing (in MAX) DAQmx scale to a project (and vice-versa) has not been implemented yet. There has been a project suggestion made, so that this feature will be added in the future. Hopefully, it will be as simple as drag and drop, in addition to programatically adding the scales through VI reference or something similar.

In the mean time there are a couple workarounds, depending on your current situation. If you already have all of your scales in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) you can export (File >> Export) the scales only and then import them into the project. I would suggest creating your scales in MAX first which will allow you to do this.

You can find a "DAQmx Save Scale" VI under this palette:
Measurement I/O » DAQmx » DAQmx Advanced » System Setup » DAQmx Storage

After you create your scale in LV, call this VI and it will save it as a "persisted scale" in MAX.
