default wire colors and patterns

I'm currently looking for a way to change the default wire colors and patterns for the basic wire types. Specifically, the boolean type is difficult for me to see after changing the background to a more friendly grey to help against eye strain.

Is there an option somewhere that I'm missing?

Is there any other way i can change this in the code?

Nope.  Colors of wires are not changeable.

Only class wires are customizable.

There is a configuration file option settable from the options dialog to "Use Alternate wire Colors".  It is default FALSE.

It seams to be in an area that applies only to new Vis and would not write a property of an existing VI.

I haven't looked at it in a decade.

There's an option to make the diagram white 😊.
