I am using labview code to generate arbitrary waveform using generate multitone.vi from national instrument. and I am using average power in Power Level Type. when I run the code I have an error as mentioned in the attached photo. I was trying to google it, but I couldn't find anything helpeful. Any idea? thanks in advance

Hi Al-rawachy

I need more details to help you with your request.

Could you please precise the NI hardware you are currently use with this issue ? And the area of your application ?

What is the LabVIEW error code ?

Is the error reproductible ? And at which frequency ?

And have you start to code from a NI example vi ?

Hi,

Could you please have some time to explain to the RF community your issue and its resolution ?

Thanks

HI Morandat,

Sure, I am working on RFSA NI PXIe-5663E and RFSG NI PXIe-5673E. I am using vi which belongs to the ni to generate multitone. I did a little bit of modification and I made a code to generate power and frequency sweep for these multitone using arbitrary mode . The code was working fine. Then, I integrated my code with my friend's code and I got the error in the above. We share the same GUI. I didn't notice that he is using script mode. Then, I change the generation mode to arbitrary mode and everything goes well.

I am at your disposal for any further explanation

Regards
