I'm a student who's been studying using opto-isolators as a counter. Recently I have to design a project which must use 4 opto-isolators for it .
The problem is on Elvis ii board there are only CONTROL0_SOURCE and CONTROL1_SOURCE on the bottom-right of the board for "counter".
what I've recently learnt is to use DAQ Assistant to acquire inputs from CONTROL0_SOURCE for counter inputs, but I can't think of a way to somehow merge the four outputs of my
opto-isolators so it could fit in for the only two CONTROL_SOURCE for counter.
the original circuit design for the four opto-isolators is quite simple I'll show it with the image I put.
Here's the question: Will this still work if I connect the wire to the top-right part of the Elvis ii board which stands for DIO.
In this case I don't need to worry about lacking input sources for counter since there DIO0~23 on the board .
IF this can't work, please suggest some solution about how I can do to accomplish this task.
