hide edges on indicator?

Hi
anyone knows how to get an indicator, numeric or string, showing only its text, without any fancy 3D edges around it?
I tried making it transparent but that doesn't work, also in properties I can't find anything relating to it..
I just want a piece of text displaying on the fp, shouldn't be hard??

Look in 'Classic Controls' palette. In both the numeric and string sub palettes, there is a control called a 'Simple Numeric' and 'Simple String'.

Both of these can be easily made completely transparent using the coloring tool.

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.

Hi,

When you change the color, try the tab key. This switches between the
background and foreground color.

You can also begin with an indicator from the "clasic controls". Some of
them are very simple, e.g. only a white rectangle with a black line
surrounding it. Both colors can be changed (also to transparant).

Wiebe.
