Solved!

Hello,

I downloaded and installed Labview 2012 sp1 64 bit and

the installation is asking for a support disk.

Where can I download a support dvd for 64 bit Labview?

thanks,

Are you refering to the Device Driver Disc?  It's the same one as for LV 2012 SP1 32-bit.  Actually, all you will be doing is installing the same drivers as the drivers installed depends on the operating system, not whether or not LV is 32 bit or 64 bit.

Hi, Bill

Thanks for the fast response!

Yes, I am referring to the device driver disc.

Let me give you a little more information.

I installed LV 2012 sp1 64 bit side by side with LV 2012 sp1 32 bit.

The 64 bit installer asked for a dvd for support.  I cancelled out of that

part of the install.

Since I already had installed the device driver disc for LV 32 bit long

ago do I not need to do anything else to use LV 64 bit?

I needed LV 64 bit to use a third party VI library.

Thanks and best regards,

Darrell

You need to install the drivers again so that it will install the support for the 64-bit version of LabVIEW.

Really?  I'm not doubting you; I just thought drivers were drivers and it would be the job of the software (in this case LabVIEW) to hook into them.

When you reinstall the drivers in this situation, the drivers are not going to be reinstalled.  What will be installed are those hooks for the previously not installed version of LabVIEW to use them.  The install will be really fast.
