how to change file access (e.g. Read Only) using ActiveX?

Does anyone have experience in opening a old or new excel file and then save it as a "Read Only" file?  

There is a function "changefileaccess" in excel which also shows up in the function list of the labview invoke node of a workbook.   I am attaching a labview file here that I used for testing.

You don't need to use ActiveX. You can use the file permission functions within LV to modify the read-only state of any kind of file.
