how to trigger from analog input channel

Hi all,

I am currently working on a data acquisition project with myRio.  I am acquiring a signal and filtering out the non-wanted frequencies.  I want to trigger an alarm when I get approximately a 40kHz frequency.  The alarm will either be an LED or a sound alarm.  I am planning on triggering the alarm when the voltage level is above a certain point but I am unsure how to go about this.

Hi,

This is a pretty old forum, as it hasn't been touched since around 2011. I would suggest posting a new forum in the myRIO section here http://forums.ni.com/t5/Academic-Hardware-Products-ELVIS/bd-p/10. 

But if you simply do a comparison inside the loop you're reading (meaning a "greater than" with your comparison) and then if it's true you can trigger a case structure or simply a "Select" function. 

Again though, I'd post on the myRIO forum so that way your post shows up under the right hardware category and is more visible to everyone.
