i/o assistant error 85: error in scan from string function

Hello, I tried to use the I/O assistant to issue a command query to an instrument but I got an error. (picture attached) Everything was working fine when I would issue commands inside the I/O assistant dialog box. What could be the problem? Thanks for the help.

Since the assistant hides everything such as the command and actual response, it is impossible to say. You've only attached an image. Convert to a VI and probe the response to see what you are reading and check what the scan from string format specifier is.
