interfacing serial port with xilinx board using LabVIEW

Helllo everyone,

I am working  on a project in which  I have to send and receive data  from labview to  FPGA board(digilent virtex-2 pro board).

When I run the Basic Serial Write  and Read example I get an error  Error -1073807246 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in VISA Configure Serial Port (Instr).vi->Basic Serial Write and Read.vi
Possible reason(s):

VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF0072) The resource is valid, but VISA cannot currently access it.

Does anyone has any  idea  that how should I  rectify  this error.

Close whatever other program is using the com port.
