labview 2009 crashing when opening thermotron 2800/4800 control VIs.

im in the early stages of prog. for thermotron control and im unable to open any of the VIs i got from thermotron on the control pc. they usable on my office design pc using the same vers. labview.

the gpib interface is working and tested by using tracks II software from thermotron. i deleted tracks II to remove possible conflicts.

i have setup the file structure the same as the working one and preformed a mass compile on the new th4800 dir. where the new VIs are.

any ideas on what else to check?

Hi,

What errors are you seeing while trying to open the driver VIs? You can check in Measurement & Automation Explorer under the "software" tab to see if you have the same drivers installed on each computer, this might be the source of the issue.

i just solved my problem.  i had old ver. NI-VISA installed.
