Right now I found a setting in the options dialog, "Automatically close VISA sessions", in LV 8 it is located in the "environment"- category, may be it's the same in LV 6. Greets, Dave
Finally I got the problem fixed. Actually all the problems were due to the serial card self, which cause ports to conflict with each others. We replaced the card.
