national instruments windows event viewer "msinstaller"

I have a windows 10, 64bit computer. Is it normal that my windows event log shows a daily product reconfiguration of all national instruments components? If it is, then it must be a new feature because I don't see it on my windows 7 laptop. I have attached a screenshot.

It does everyday around the same time for hundreds of NI components and last about 10-20 seconds.

thank you.

I checked on my computer's windows event log and there's no daily reconfiguration (same Operating system, same LabVIEW (to name one NI software)), so it doesn't seem a feature.

Does it happen with all downloaded software or just NI's? If it happens with all probably more a Windows issue.

Also is your computer an HP computer? I've seen that this happens in them. If it is, take a look at the ninth post here, by AnEdge https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/31460-successful-application-reconfiguration.html

Hope this helps!

Hi cdiaz95,

Thanks for the response!

You're right, it's not only for NI components, there's other things as well (e.g. MS office, measurement studio, visual c++, etc.)

It's actually a dell rack mount computer (Dell precision rack 7910).

Don't know if reinstalling labview will do any good, like you said, it could be a windows issue.

Guess i'll ask my IT department and see if they have any ideas. Cross fingers ><

Yeah I wouldn't uninstall LabVIEW or any NI hardware, seems too much trouble for the unlikeliness of it fixing the issue.

Definitely asking IT seems a good idea, I'd also make this question or search for similar questions in Windows's forums.

Good luck!
