Solved!

LV2012, Windows 7 machine cannot install LV because I cannot install .net Framework. Get a funny HRESULT 0xc8000247. Anyone fix this before? Thanks in advance.

You can install .NET framework 4 seperately from LabVIEW2012. After it is installed, this step should be bypassed when you are installing LabVIEW 2012.

Tried this already a couple of times. No go. My IT guy is one of the best I've known and he tried it a couple of times. No go. Stumped. Windows 7 and LV2012 has been nothing but a huge pain in the ass everywhere I've tried it.

I had big probloems installing .net 4 until I copied the install file to a local drive and not a networked drive.  Then it worked a charm.

Don't ask me why this should be, but I recall others having the same issue as well.

This is a standalone system and not networked. All the attempts have been from local drives.

Have you tried Googling it?  There seems to be a plethora of suggested solutions to getting .NET 4 installed after seeing this error.

Our super secret special corporate version of Win 7 Enterprise was interfering with the .Net 4 installation - aggravated by having a RAID on the target machine. We re-installed the OEM version of Win 7 and reinstalled everything and it works great.

Hello guys,

I have the same problem here. When I clicked the setup.exe. A window popup to install the Microsoft.NET framework 4.0, After then, however, another window popup to show an error occured when installing Microsoft.NET framework 4.0. Is LabVIEW 2012 conflict with window 7 (32bit)? Is there any way to go over the installation of Microsoft.NET? I don't want to reinstall the OS, which really time-consuming.

Thanks!
