nidevldstat.exe does not intialize properly

Hello All,

I've tried to install labview 7.1 on a Dell Precision T1650 running windows xp svc pk 2.  When I try to restart my computer after installation I get a blue screen with an error message that is very vague.  I try to reboot from there and when I reboot to "last known working configuration", I get the error message "nidevldstat.exe - application error", the application failed to initialize properly.  I click ok, and labview appears to run okay until I try to use the DSC module or other services.

Any ideas?

Hi Don,

It sounds like the installation was corrupted. Does the blue screen recurr, or did it just happen once when you originally installed?

Can you provide any screen shots of the error message and a specific description of what actions cause it to appear?

Because of the blue screen after installing LabVIEW it probably will be necessary to reinstall LabVIEW, add ons, and drivers (in that order).
