nidevmon.exe crashes at startup

I installed LabVIEW 2011 with NI-Daqmx 9.3.5 on Windows server 2003 R2 standard edition but nidevmon.exe crashes at startup. I have tried installing NI-ELVISmx 14.0 but it didnt work either. Issue was the same. LabVIEW opens but instrument launcher and the front panels of the instruments in labVIEW dont.

What is the message you are getting when nidevmon.exe crashes at startup?  Can you include a screenshot?

Have you seen this older thread:  http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/nidevmon-exe-application-error/td-p/477767/page/3 ?  It seems like some of the options there may work out for you.

Let us know how the suggestions in the linked thread works out for you.

Thank you Kemens, I later found out through trouble shooting that LabVIEW 2011 works okay on Windows Server 2003 Standard, but when upgraded to Sp 2(which I absolutely need for a project), instrument launcher stops working and ELVIS drivers cannot be installed.
