I am running LabVIEW 2009 and would like to plot an x-y graph where the plot changes color based on a third dimension. My thought is to use an intensity graph with zeros everywhere except along the 'line' I am trying to plot (these points would have the value specified by my third dimension). I am running into two problems with this: 1) Because my arrays are ~200,000 points long, I would have to create a 200000 x 200000 array to plot all my data, which causes memory errors. I am willing to decimate to get it down to a manageable amount of data, but any other suggestions would be welcomed. 2) Now that I have a reasonable amount of data, I am not sure how to get it so the array is zeros everywhere except along the line. Any suggestions as to how I can index the points along this plot? Thanks in advance for your suggestions,John

That is a nice start, but I need it to be on an intensity plot for scrolling and selecting purposes. Someone else in my group had some old code that I was able to use though, so I should be good. Thanks for all your help!

What is the general idea behind the old code that you're able to use? I'd be interested in a low memory footprint, scrollable, scaleable multicolor trace.
