If you open the "Software" node in MAX you should see an entry for DAQmx. If it isn't there you need to reinstall DAQmx with the Device Driver CDs. Be carefull to select DAQmx during installation it might be disabled.

DAQ is already installed in the computer. I found that the interface for the andor camera is GPIB. I have selected that. Still I have doubt regarding DAQ and interfacing. Now what about the fitler that is also attached to the system. Please help me clear out these things.

It says here that the LabVIEW instrument drivers for Andor Cameras is available. Since I couldn't find them on ni.com/downloads, I guess you should get them from either the vendor or from some other place.

If you want to acquire from the GPIB interface without the drivers, it still is possible but will require you to get your device command set and program which isn't straightforward.

I think someone already asked you here if you have the device drivers for the camera. Well, do you?

Regards,

Vaibhav.

The filter is having GPIB type connector and is using VISA interface.

I know very little about the interface types and the other software installation part. I find the Andor camera is using USB 2.0.(from the manual) .I have contacted the technical persons of Andor camera and is expecting their reply soon.
