"Add event case" not shown after right click on event structure boarder in labview 10.0.

I'm using Labview 2010 (version 10.0).

When I right click on the boarder of the event structure , It doesn't show me the menu items "Add Event Case" , "Duplicate Event Case"...etc. 

In the same time in functions palette  under structures, event structure is not shown.

What is the reason for this problem? How can I solve it?

It sounds like you are using the base version of LabVIEW. The event structure was added to the base version with 2012. Before that, you needed at least the full version.

Maybe you only have LabVIEW base.

Before LabVIEW 2012, the event structure was only available in LabVIEW full or higher. (It will work in LabVIEW base but you are not able to edit it).

Can I update from Labview 2010 to Labview 2012 version? Or else will I have to purchase labview 2012?

yes, you can upgrade: just check your license...

Why don't you call your local NI sales guy to discuss any licensing issues?
