Ran into this really weird problem this morning and I couldn't believe my eyes when I thought I found out what the problem really was, and I'd like to see if someone else can replicate/refute this. I checked the boards, but either I didn't enter a good enough search criteria, or this hasn't been brought up. Working in LabVIEW 8.2. Here's the scenario:
- Start LabVIEW.
- Create a blank VI.
- On the block diagram create a string constant.
- In the string constant enter the following: " anything" (note the space at the beginning - very important.). Stay in the string constant.
- Now, in the string constant, press the Ctrl-Left Arrow keys to move the cursor left by word. You should be at the beginning of the word "anything".
- Now, press Ctrl-Left Arrow again. At this point LabVIEW apparently goes nuts, pegging the CPU usage at 100%, forcing you to terminate the process.
I've been able to replicate this each time I run LabVIEW. I'm on a Windoze machine, running XP SP2.
