trigger oscilloscope lt354m

Hello,

My problem is the following: I want to recognize when the oscilloscope triggers and after that start saving the data for the oscilloscope.

I already have the drivers for the oscilloscope and I have already done the part for saving the data; my only problem is recognize when there is a trigger on a channel so I can start with the next step.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

I haven't looked at the driver or used that particular model but usually there is an OPC? query that is used. OPC? stands for operation complete. Please refer to the manual.

No OPC? query unfortunately.

Please double check that. The command is mandatory.

I can't find it, sorry. But I am wondering if there is like a control which turns on when the trigger comes and turns off when there is no trigger.

Are you just looking in the driver or in the scope's manual? There could very possibly not be a driver function since you just do a write and read inside of a loop.

You can't find it?

Read the manual AGAIN.

No, there is not such "control" that you write of.

I find that very hard to believe for a LeCroy scope.

It's In the manual that I just looked at - http://teledynelecroy.com/doc/docview.aspx?id=2950
