unable to open excel file through application created by application builder

Hello,

I've created an application for my program using application builder, but the built application  is not able to open the required excel file as it was being opened in original program.

Please help.

In order dor us to help you. You will need to post the VI in question. There are a few reasons why this would be happening. Post the code and we will not have to shoot in the dark.

Define "not able to open". Do you get an error? Does it find the file? Are you using the Report Generation Toolkit? Are you running the application on the same computer as your development code? Are you perhaps doing this: Why Does My Executable Not Work When Using the Current VI's Path Constant? - KnowledgeBase - Support...

In my original program I was saving a table in excel file using report generation toolkit. The program used to use to save the content in the excel file and open it there and then. When I created an application out of the same program, no content was saved and no excel file was opened. I tried making a different program whos function was just to save a table in excel file and open it, and made an application out of it, but the application did not make or open any excel file. I'm using the same PC.

Please help.

Then, as requested, post your code. You can be having the path problem already mentioned or your build was incorrect and did not include all of the report functions.

Please post your code. We cannot do anything to help you if you do not. There are too many things that could be wrong for us to try and guess what you are doing. Also please tell us which version of LV you are using and which version of the toolkit. This is important because there have been a lot of changes to the toolkits here in the last couple of years.
