It may not be obvious but you are teasing us now. You , see, many of learn by helping people solve their problems. Aside from the knowledge and maybe an unhealthy desire to accumulate Kudos there is no good reason to try and help someone figure out how to solve their problem.
Giving up may be expedient for you now but in the long run some of are going to walk away from thread thinking "no sense in helping them, ...".
Could you post an image of the code where the reference was being passed to the sub-VI and an image of the sub-VI AND an indication of what the exact error you encountered was?
After all even the dogs get a chance to eat the crumbs.

I don't mean to be vague.
I simply am at wits end with this mess. Too many interrelated pieces.
I deleted the original VI and never want to see it again.
I do not want to troubleshoot it to figure out where the bug is.
I have to get this code working by Tuesday. Monday is a company holiday.
