We are running LV2010 sp1 with the RT module but no FPGA module. This hasn't been an issue with the cRIO units that we've deployed but here's my question:
Is it possible to use the sbRIO evaluation kit hardware (specifically the daughterboard) without the FPGA module? I know scan mode can be sort of shoe-horned on to an unsupported backplane--the 9631--by compiling a blank FPGA .vi [this article: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/122E971F52FD081A86257500007A046C?OpenDocument ] so after this is accomplished, and my FPGA trial license expires, will I still be able to use the sbRIO-9631 evaluation kit?
Thanks

Hi,
Actually we added Support for Scan Engine on sbRIO devices with 2M Gate FPGAs with LabVIEW 2010.
However, the Scan Mode Supports only the on-board analog and digital I/O modules. To access the 110 on-board DIO lines you still need to use LV FPGA.
