Update Microsoft Windows SDK support from 8.1 to 10

The CVI Full Development System supports Microsoft's Software Development Kit.

I'd like to suggest to update this support to Windows 10 SDK.

Nowadays this update is absolutely necessary adn cannot delayed anymore.

As an example here you can find a real situation that can't be handled without the update.

 

Can NI share a roadmap for this update, please?

This is necessary. I have projects that won't compile because the Win 10 SDK is not supported.

Last post for this idea is almost 2 years ago.

I still have issues with my programs and need SDK 10.

New SDK can be downloaded and installed from Microsoft, but it installs to different folder and therefore cannot be referenced into compile code.

 

Any ideas?

I also would like to know if there will be a workaround? Because NI doesnt update CVI anymore (only important fixes) and Support ends 2025 we have to do this on our own.

 

My idea is:

Install new SDK and put (link) all needed libraries and header files into your CVI project.
