CVI 2013 executable does not exist?

Hey azbarks,

It doesn't look like a fix has been provided for this, and unfortunately I wasn't able to find the previous escalation about this either.

Let's see if we can sort this out though.

  • Are you also checking out your source code from a subversion client like some of the posters mentioned above?
  • Had you previously worked with this code in CVI 2013, and did you see the same error there?
  • How often does this error occur?
  • Is power cycling the only resolution you have so far? Does recompiling/rebuilding ever work?
  • Lastly, as the post directly above yours suggested, using local, relative path names in the project has at least reduced the occurence of this error. Any luck trying this?
  • One last thing, what are your system specs? It may be helpful to have this information later.

I want to see if we can narrow down the cause of this and perhaps find you a workaround. If I'm able to reproduce the same error, I can look into it further and see about filing a Corrective Action Request (CAR) if I determine this is an unexpected behavior on CVI's part.

I hope this helps out! I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Will

  • Are you also checking out your source code from a subversion client like some of the posters mentioned above?  No, it is on a local drive and there is no source code control for this at this time.  I do have source code control with Clearcase but i copied all files to a local directory to see if that helped.
  • Had you previously worked with this code in CVI 2013, and did you see the same error there? NO
  • How often does this error occur? Over 50% of the time.  It seems to happen most often when I have just finished building.  If I wait for 10 minutes, it seems to then work sometimes.  Once it works, I think it is good until I make a source change.
  • Is power cycling the only resolution you have so far? Does recompiling/rebuilding ever work?  Rebuilding makes it worse
  • Lastly, as the post directly above yours suggested, using local, relative path names in the project has at least reduced the occurence of this error. Any luck trying this? Local file but not relative paths.  I can try that.
  • One last thing, what are your system specs? It may be helpful to have this information later.  I am on a windows 7 laptop.  It is a Latitude E5470 Dell laptop
