Can we change or add a new type in FP create Input/Output type?

When I try to create a new FP (Front Panel) tree, when I have to choose a type in Edit Control ---> Edit Input Control (or Edit Output Control) ... I can not use a new type (ie: struct, I could not find it in the list) ... can we add or change 1 item in the list? If not, do we have a alternative solution?

Thank for the link, however, I tried to do every thing ... the Enable Option is always dimmed & I can not do: Open up an fp in edit mode, select Options >> Datatypes

Can you know why?

I think you are looking in the wrong place - if you open the fp file, navigate to the function required, press F8 (to enter Edit mode, if you are not already in it) then select menu item Options->Data Types, you're there. At least, this route gets you there on my CVI 7.0...

I am sorry that I did not clarify clearly, I followed you link to try to add new data type that does not available in the Data Type list (ie: struct, mynewType ...).

In that link in order to do that we have to use Edit FP (my FP is already existed with other standard Data types) with Enable 'O' Option ... but I am not able to do that because that option is always dimmed. That why I called for help!

May you know why that option is dimmed? I did try many ways to enable that options ... but failed!
