Create and view PDF?

Hi

I've been reading about Haru PDF to generate a pdf.

Could someone please post an example for Labwindows\CVI? .Im not sure how to get it to work.

One other thing is how can i display the pdf without installing an external program?

Thanks

Shako

Hi,

just a small note (didn't know haruPDF before...): I use fop (apache-java-tool) to create pdf-reports based on xmls and xsl, works quite nice.

Here you can find a sample project for report creation using the HARU Pdf library.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

Thanks.

This shows me much more than what i was doing.

Do you know if there is a way to display a pdf in a CVI panel?

You can use an ActiveX container, but you must use the ActiveX interface of a PDF viewer (for example Adobe Reader).

The approach is similar to the WebBrowser example (or other ActiveX supplied samples)

But need my program to be self contained.

Thats the reason why i used Haru for pdf creation.

Hi Shako,

Have you tried doing a quick Google search for a PDF to image converter? There seems to be lots of options on the web (some free, and some paid).  I don't know if I can recommend a specific one as I have never tried doing this before.
