How do you change the shape of the panel?

Hi,

I have to place an Emergency Stop button in my program, and it needs to be on its own seperate panel.
Is there a way that i can make the panel round, or maybe make the panel tranparent but the emergency stop button not.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
cheers

Hi Justin,

I can't answer your question--I would like to know how to do it as well--but I would double check your idea of the 'soft' EStop against your country's and industry's safety standards.

It's my experience that most customers require EStop circuitry to be specifically hard-wired.  There are entire catalogs of this type of safety equipment: monitored safety relays, guard PLCs, etc.  Most customers that accept 'soft' EStops require safety-rated certifications of the software logic, which I seriously doubt CVI can meet the requirements.  Also, I have never heard of a safety-rated installation of WIndows, assuming that is your deployment target.  That said, some groups recognize a category of stop button that can be done in software, typically called 'controlled' stop buttons, which could drop power to your mains or signal a rapid stop or EStop, but you normally don't advertise them as part of the safety circuitry.
