Sending String from Android to LabWindows application.

i am working on a project in which i have to make a client in android and  server is a labwindows application. Is this possible? if yes, any help to get me started is appreciated.

Hey Abdul90,

What type of data are you planning on sending from the Android device your CVI Application? What kind of connection are you looking to make (TCP/IP, local, etc)? Most of the these types of applicaitons do not support high throughput data and are just occational updates. There is a an App called data Dashboard that you might want to try:

Actualy I am planning to make an intrusion detection system, (Smart phone as a sensor). Sensor data (e.g voice, motion, images) is to be sent to Desktop pc over Wifi. where Labwindows application will generate corresponding alarms and notifications. 

- UDP connection.

Is this possible?

And i cannot use third party softwares. As this is my University project.
