Why no more 'save all' on compile and other annoyances

Hello all,

I've been using CVI 2020 for a few weeks and there are several regressions in it that annoy me.

- when you compile and execute, the prj and cws files are not saved anymore. So if the IDE crashes you loose all recent changes. In the last 20 years, it always saved them, so why not anymore ? I've 'auto backup' enabled, but I don't see any others related options.

- windows positions are not saved anymore between runs. Well, some are, like .h and .c files, but all the others always open in the upper left corner. That's VERY annoying having to move everything around every time you debug.

- talking about window positions, if we can't have CVI remember window positions, can we at LEAST have it not open windows OUT OF THE MONITOR ? Every Find/Memory/Resource Tracking/Variable/Watch/Threads/Modules/SCBrowser window opens with the title bar out of the screen. And if your toolbar is on the left side, it's hidden underneath, making it almost impossible to move (I have to enlarge the lower-right corner so that by happenstance it moves the window 1 pixel down, so I can just barely grab it to move it). Every Array View opens like, even after being moved and closed. It's beyond annoying. It's actively user hostile.

Hi,

The prj and cws are save on my machine with the following setting in the environment panel:

The auto bacup is enabeled, Save changes before compiling is set to always, and save changes before debugging is set to always.

Yes, I also have Enables auto-backup and save changes before compiling and debugging both set to always... but I just noticed a [File][Autosave workspace] option I'd never noticed before, and it wasn't set. Working as expected now !

Hi,

Regarding CVI window positions, I recommend to run the windows in confined mode if possible.
