I have installed LabWindows/CVI 9.0 ensure that the Windows SDK button was enable. When I go Help/Win32 API I get the following error message:
"The Win32 API documentation has not been installed. You can install the documentation from the "MSDN Library" DVD included with LabWindows/CVI."
I download the LabWindows/CVI installer from the website. How do I get the documentation?

Hello Paul,
I have reproduced the issue you are having and I'll be looking into it further. I will post back when I have some more information.

Hello Paul,
Let me apologize for the confusion. We made the decision not to make the Interface to the Win32 API help available with the evaluation software public download for a number of reasons. The primary reason is that this download would be nearly 2GB in size, which would be a rather painful download experience. Another reason is that when a purchase of CVI 9.0 is made, the DVD containing this information will be shipped with your order. Also, if you are an SSP member, you can go to ni.com/src, where you will be able to find the Interface to the Win32 API help available for download, although, once again, remember it is a 2 GB file. Finally, while the documentation we ship is in a nice, self-contained form, it can all also be found in its entirety online through MSDN.

Regular MSDN CD from Microsoft will do?

Hello Kumar,
Yes this will be the same information however the help will not be linked from CVI as it is when you install from the DVD that ships.

Hello Kumar,
No we cannot manually link the documentation. You can use the MSDN documentation manually, however I am worried that you mentioned "CD" since as NickB pointed out this documentation is approx. 2 GB in size. Which version of CVI are you using? If it's 9.0 and you are an SSP member you can download the Interface at ni.com/src like Nick mentioned or you can use the DVD shipped with CVI. If you have purchased CVI 9.0 and not received the DVD, please contact NI support @ 866-275-6964 and we will look into it further.
