Windows/CVI installation

I tried to install the upgrade of LabVIEW 8.6 >>8.6.1 and was advised that I could not install Windows/CVI 9.0 because a bata was installed and I had to unistall this application first. As there is no reference to this application in the Add/Remove on XP AND there is no Uninstall in the Windows/CVI folder, how can I uninstall this application, short of deleting its directory...thanks all.

Hello Ciphertech,

I have a couple questions for you.

• Did you install LabVIEW 8.6 from the Q4 Developer Suite DVD?  
• When you installed LabVIEW 8.6, did you also install CVI 9.0?
• Could you please attach a screenshot of the National Instruments Add/Remove programs dialog?
• Lastly, could you please try to install LabVIEW 8.6.1 again, but this time run setup.exe from the command line, and log the installation.  The command line necessary to do this will look like this:

D:\>Setup.exe /log C:\LV861log.txt

Where D:\ is the DVD drive dev suite is being installed from.  Once you've done this, please attach the log that was generated (it'll be at the path following the /log switch in the command above).
